NUS Liberation Conference

What is it:
The Liberation Conference brings together activists from NUS Liberation campaigns to build policy and discuss issues affecting students from Liberation groups. NUS Liberation campaigns support and fight for the rights of Black*, Disabled, LGBT+, Trans and Women students. Liberation Conference will bring students together to organise around and plan next steps for NUS #DecoloniseEducation campaign and the fight for liberated trans healthcare and GRA reform. There will also be a chance to explore new ideas to be vocal and visible on, such as the Disabled Students’ Allowance.
Positions Available:
Each Union may send a maximum of six delegates. The six delegate spaces are reserved for delegates who self-define into the groups which are represented at Liberation Conference. The reserved places are as follows:
• One Black* Student
• One additional place for a Black* Woman Student
• One Trans Student
• One LGBT+ Student
• One Disabled Student
• One Woman Student
*NUS use Black to mean students from African, Asian, Arab and Caribbean heritage
