If your club or society has decided to endorse a candidate, here's how you do this: - You should invite candidates to talk to your members or answer questions from your members - Your committee should decide who your club or society will endorse in a democratic process - You must provide evidence that the decision has been made democratically - Any committee member who is standing for election themselves, should not be part of the decision making process to endorse a candidate - You can share the answers to your questions you have asked candidates with your members - You should inform your members who the committee has decided to endorse and why - You should inform your members that they do not have to vote for the candidate your club or society has chosen to endorse - You must complete the candidate endorsement form and return to the elections team on s.u.elections@mmu.ac.uk by XX:XX on DATE TBC - You will need to send proof that a democratic decision was made by your committee when selecting which candidate to endorse, e.g., a set of minutes of the meeting or a screengrab of an online poll - If, as part of your backing, you decide to send out a message via email or Facebook on behalf of the candidate, then you must include a link to the website www.theunionmmu.org./student-voice/student-officer-elections - All complaints about this process not being adhered to will be taken very seriously and investigated
